In the Eurozone, annual inflation reached 3.4 percent in September, the highest level in the last 13 years.

All world economies continue to struggle with inflation under the influence of the coronavirus epidemic. The recent rise in inflation has also disturbed Europeans. The general price increase, especially in energy products, draws attention in Europe.

The European Statistical Office (Eurostat) has released the leading data on the annual inflation of the Eurozone for September. Accordingly, annual inflation in the Eurozone, which was 3 percent in August, was measured as 3.4 percent in September.

THE HIGHEST ANNUAL INFLATION WAS IN ENERGY WITH 17.4 PERCENT

Looking at the main components of inflation in the Euro Area in September, the highest annual inflation was in energy with 17.4 percent. Energy was followed by non-energy industrial products with 2.1 percent, food, alcohol and tobacco products with 2.1 percent and services with 1.7 percent.

INFLATION IN LITHUANIA IS 6.3

In September, inflation was 4.1 percent in Germany, 2.7 percent in France, 4 percent in Spain, 3 percent in Italy, 2.9 percent in the Netherlands, 3.8 percent in Belgium, and Lithuania. and 6.3 percent in Estonia and 6.4 percent in Estonia.

HIGHEST LEVEL MEASURED SINCE SEPTEMBER 2008

Thus, inflation in the Euro Area rose to the highest level measured since September 2008. In the Eurozone, annual inflation reached 3 percent in August, the highest level of the last 10 years.
