According to the announced data, industrial production in the European region in March decreased by 3.6 percent compared to the previous month and 1.3 percent compared to the same period last year.
While the expected decrease in the markets was 2.5 per cent, the decrease in industrial production within the announced data did not meet the expectations.
When industrial production on a monthly basis is compared between countries, the highest decrease was recorded in Ireland with 26.3 per cent, Sweden with 3.9 per cent and Germany with 3.1 per cent. On an annual basis, industrial production declined the most in Ireland with 26.1 per cent, in Lithuania with 16.6 per cent and in Estonia with 12.6 per cent.
