EU quotas at full capacity: Türkiye, China and India in the lead

According to data gathered by SteelRadar from the European Commission, some countries used their European Union (EU) pipe and profile quotas at full capacity, while others used them at low rates.

Only Türkiye, China and India fully utilized certain quotas. Türkiye completely filled its quota of 14,743 tons of wide-welded pipes and 97,140 tons of hollow profiles. China used its quota of 7,971 tons of other welded pipes at full capacity.

As for India, it reached full capacity on its quota of 31,333 tons of stainless bar and light profiles. However, other countries could not exceed 20% utilization rate in their pipe quotas.

Remarkable utilization rates were also seen in product groups outside the pipe quota. China used its quota of 126,603 tons of 4B metallic coated sheets at full capacity, while India reached full capacity for 52,960 tons of 4B metallic coated sheets and 77,600 tons of organic coated sheets. Meanwhile, Türkiye reached full capacity utilization for 116,750 tons of wire rod and 1,536 tons of railway materials.
