In the statement, it was noted that within the framework of the memorandum of understanding between the EU Commission and Bosnia and Herzegovina, 125 million Euros of "macro financial aid" was provided to this country as a loan with favorable interest rates.
Reminding that the said support is the first part of the 250 million-euro package, it was noted that the other 125 million-euro tranche depends on the implementation of measures to improve transparency, fight against corruption and the labor market. It was underlined that it gave grants. The EU is able to provide macro financial support to the countries in its immediate vicinity in times of economic crisis. EU financial aids include much more favorable payment terms than the loans that the country in question can receive from the markets under normal conditions. Various conditions must be fulfilled in order to receive these supports.
"Epidemic Support" from EU to Bosnia and Herzegovina
The European Union (EU) reported that 125 million Euros of financial support was given to Bosnia and Herzegovina due to the new type of coronavirus (Kovid-19) epidemic.
