Following the attacks on Yemen in the Red Sea, Egypt has expressed its deep concern and called for a reduction in tensions in the region. The Egyptian Foreign Ministry announced that it was extremely concerned about the increase in military operations in the Red Sea region and the airstrikes on Yemen. The statement emphasized that international and regional efforts should be combined to ensure the safety of shipping in the Red Sea. The American and British airstrikes on Yemen killed 5 Houthis.
On the other hand, after the attacks on American and British facilities in Yemen, the Houthis have promised to continue attacking the ships in the Red Sea. Due to the Houthis' attacks on merchant ships in Yemen, many shipping companies decided to suspend their voyages in the Red Sea. This situation jeopardized world trade through the Suez Canal.
