Economic confidence increased in January

According to the statement made by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), the economic confidence index, which was 96.4 in December, increased by 3.1% in January and reached 99.4.

Compared to the previous month, in January, the consumer confidence index increased by 3.9% to 80.4, the real sector (manufacturing industry) confidence index decreased by 0.5% to 102.9, and the service sector confidence index increased by 4% to 116.8. retail trade sector confidence index decreased by 1.0% to 115.6, and construction sector confidence index increased by 3.3% to 90.9.
