For OMV Petrom's offshore pipeline project Neptun Deep in the Black Sea, Corinth Pipeworks, a sub-supplier of Sumitomo Corp Europe, will produce longitudinally submerged arc welded steel pipes (LSAW, about 160 km). The contract is estimated to be worth around 100 million to 150 million euros ($108 million to $162 million).
The Neptun Deep Block, the largest gas project ever in the Romanian Black Sea, will be located 160 km offshore Romania with a 7,500 square meter line and will be the country's first deepwater pipeline with a water depth of up to 1,000 meters, Cronith stated.
The 30-inch pipeline will be manufactured at the company's facility in Thisvi, Greece, and will be coated with an external anti-corrosion layer and an internal flow efficiency liner.
