In February 2023, the volume of output in the construction sector in the EU member states increased by 2% compared to January 2023 and by 2.1% compared to the same month in 2022.
The construction sector in the European Union increased by 1.9% compared to January and by 2% y-o-y. Output in the construction sector increased by 2.9% on both monthly and annual basis.
In the Eurozone, construction sector increased by 2.1% m-o-m and 2.6% y-o-y in February. The region's output in the construction sector increased by 3.6% m-o-m and 2.6% y-o-y.
Compared with February 2022, construction volumes in February 2023 increased by 17.5% in Slovenia, 17% in Austria, 10.4% in Romania, but decreased by 11.8% in Hungary, 4.3% in the Czech Republic and 3.3% in Finland.
