The world's largest and longest Ferris wheel, Ain Dubai, has officially opened to the public.
The landmark project is the latest addition to Dubai Holding's entertainment portfolio.
Speaking on the occasion, HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed stressed that Dubai remains committed to enhancing the Emirate's offerings as a tourism and lifestyle destination and enriching the quality of life of people living in Dubai. Located in the heart of the lifestyle island of Bluewaters, the attraction's unique experiences for visitors reflect the emirate's desire to achieve the highest excellence in all sectors and habitats, he added, according to a report by the UAE government.
The observation wheel took nine million hours to build.
Ain Dubai's observation cabins provide visitors with a vantage point for 360-degree views of Dubai over the waters of the Persian Gulf. Surrounding the enormous circumference of the wheel, the 48 passenger cabins are capable of handling more than 1,750 simultaneous visitors. One full rotation of the wheel takes 38 minutes.
