Çolakoğlu Metalurji became a member of the Global Steel Climate Council (GSCC) platform, which was established to promote low carbon steel production and set scientifically based emission reduction targets in the steel industry.

Çolakoğlu Metalurji continues its investments in low carbon steel production and industrial transformation in line with its sustainability-oriented strategies. With its GSCC membership, Çolakoğlu Metalurji aims to contribute to the development of global standards and lead the industry in green steel production. This step once again demonstrates the company's determination to reduce environmental impact and strengthen sustainable production processes in the steel industry, and to adopt safer, cleaner and emission-reducing processes in steel production.

Çolakoğlu Metalurji continues its efforts to minimize the carbon footprint of the steel industry through investments in energy efficiency, renewable energy use and waste management. The company continues to support the steel industry's fight against climate change in line with the Paris Agreement and the European Green Deal by contributing to the development of standards for low-carbon steel certification within the scope of its cooperation with GSCC.

The Global Steel Climate Council (GSCC) brings together steel producers and stakeholders from more than 80 countries around the world to set science-based targets to reduce the carbon footprint of the steel industry. The council promotes sustainable production by establishing common standards for low-carbon steel certification and plays an important role in the global steel industry's fight against climate change by developing policies in line with the Paris Agreement and the European Green Deal.

The standards developed by the GSCC enable steel producers to adopt transparent and accountable processes for emission reductions and support the global expansion of low-carbon steel production. In this context, Çolakoğlu Metalurji's GSCC membership is an important milestone in the company's sustainability journey.
