According to the National Bureau of Statistics, China's fourth quarter growth was 4 percent on an annual basis. For the whole year, the economy grew by 8.1 percent compared to 2020.
Industrial production in the country increased by 4.3 percent in December compared to the same period of the previous year.
On the other hand, retail sales rose 1.7 percent, below expectations for the same period.
Fixed asset investments, on the other hand, grew by 4.9 percent for 2021.
While unemployment was 5.1 percent in the country, unemployment between the ages of 16-24 remained high and became 14.3 percent.
