In June, China's cold rolled steel product prices remained relatively high. From a supply perspective, production of cold rolled flat products recovered and capacity utilisation stood at around 82%.
Meanwhile, due to the increase in steel prices in June, some of the steel mills in China, which were previously under scrutiny or cut their production, resumed production.
In terms of stocks, as stock consumption continued in the first half of June, stocks started to be replenished in the second half.
In the outlook for July, supply is expected to maintain its high level and demand is expected to improve slightly. With increasing raw material prices, steel prices may be supported by the cost side. Meanwhile, further implementation of stimulus policies is expected. As a result, market participants predicted that cold-rolled steel products may increase periodically in July.
