China's coal imports in the first seven months of 2023 were from Australia, Colombia, Mongolia, Russia, Indonesia, South Africa and the United States. On an annual basis, it increased by 751% from Australia, 325% from Colombia, 227% from Mongolia, 88% from Russia, 63% from Indonesia, 27% from South Africa and 5% from the USA.
In August, some coal shipments, which were ordered in the previous period, were realized. Therefore, China's actual coal imports in August are expected to remain at high levels.
