China Steel Corporation (CSC), the largest carbon steel manufacturer in Taiwan, announced its new prices for September, with an increase of NT$500-900/ton.
According to the price announcement, the price of hot-rolled plate/coil, cold-rolled coil, and hot-dip galvanized steel coil for construction and pre-painted steel was raised by NT$900/ton, that of electro-galvanized (EG) steel and hot-dip galvanized steel coil for home appliances, computers, and other materials was up by NT$600/ton, and that of electrical steel (ES) coil was hiked by NT$500/ton.
According to officials, the price increase was in line with market expectations.
