China reacts to the USA warning about Russia sanctions

In a statement yesterday, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Cao Licien responded to the words of White House Spokesperson Jen Psaki regarding the sanctions.

White House: We see China largely complying with sanctions against Russia
Stating that sanctions are not a fundamental and effective way of solving problems, Spokesperson Cao said, "China is against any kind of unilateral sanctions or the US attempt to use cross-border jurisdiction." said.

Cao stated that the Washington administration should consider China's concerns and not harm its rights and interests when addressing the Ukraine issue and its relations with Russia, adding, "We will take all necessary measures to resolutely protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese citizens and companies." used the phrases.

White House Spokesperson Psaki, in his statement yesterday, stated that they saw China complying with the sanctions against Russia so far, but "if the sanctions are not complied with, this may lead the United States to take retaliatory steps".
