The CBRT General Assembly's agenda includes reading and discussing the proposal for the distribution of profits, including the allocation of reserve for assistance, and the approval of the proposal regarding the balance sheet, profit and loss account for the year 2022, and profit distribution.
In addition, elections will be held for the two members of the CBRT Assembly to become vacant after April 30, and for three members of the Supervisory Board.
The CBRT organizes a general assembly at the end of March every year, unless it is delayed by a separate decision. If the CBRT has not been delayed, within a few days following the general assembly, it transfers the profit of the previous year to the Treasury after the legal provisions are set.
Last year, the bank transferred 50 billion TL to the Treasury in this context.
The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) increased its profits below the inflation rate in 2022.
The balance sheet of the CBRT for the 91st accounting period was published in the Official Gazette.
Accordingly, the CBRT's profit for the year 2022 was 72.02 billion TL. The CBRT had a period profit of 57.48 billion TL in 2021.
Total assets, which stood at TL 2.5 trillion as of the end of 2021, rose to TL 3.6 trillion by the end of 2022.
The ordinary general meeting of the CBRT, which will include the 2022 dividend distribution decision, will be held in Ankara on March 28, both electronically and physically.
During the earthquake donations, the CBRT donated 30 billion TL from its 2022 balance sheet profit.
