California wildfire turns into reconstruction opportunity for Taiwan

After a month-long fire, the wildfire in California was brought under control and business opportunities for reconstruction have emerged. Taiwanese screw manufacturers are evaluating demands related to reconstruction and making order arrangements.  

The fire has increased demand for wood, rebar, aluminum sheets, coated steel and construction screws. Due to the predominant use of wood in local structures, the highest demand is for timber, while steel is used in steel structures, rebar, garages, etc. 

Market participants note that, due to the slow progress of post-disaster reconstruction in Hawaii and the difficulty in predicting the recovery schedule for California, it is essential to closely monitor the reconstruction plans of the US and California governments.
