Brazil's pig iron production decreased in February

According to statistics, Brazil's pig iron production totaled around 2.1 million tons in February, down 8.4% from the previous month and around 1% from a year earlier.

In the first two months of this year, Brazil produced a total of around 4.4 million tons of pig iron, down 1.1% y-o-y.

In February, Brazil's pig iron exports decreased by 17% y-o-y to 207,800 tons, while exports in the January-February period decreased by 11% y-o-y to 444,100 tons.
