The Secretariat of Foreign Trade (SECEX) of the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIC) has issued a positive preliminary assessment decision in the anti-dumping (AD) investigation filed by Aperam Inox Tubos Brasil Ltda, Brazil. In this investigation, provisional anti-dumping duties were proposed to be imposed for six months on austenitic stainless steel tubes imported from Taiwan and India

These pipes have round cross-sections, with outer diameters ranging from 6 mm (1/4 inch) to 2,032 mm (80 inches) and thicknesses ranging from 0.40 mm to 12.70 mm.

The duty rate for products originating in Taiwan is USD 1,132.89 per ton, while those originating in India range from USD 125.18 to USD 1,086.35 per ton.

The investigation, which will start on March 7, 2025, will be completed within eight months.
