Brazil drops out of the top 10 global steel consumers
The top ten steel-consuming countries in the world are the US, China, India, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Turkey, Germany, Italy and Mexico while Brazil is not on the list this time.
China ranks first
China ranks first with an annual consumption of 921 million tons, while Mexico ranks tenth with 24.8 million tons.
Brazilian steel consumption to decrease by 1%
According to the Brazilian Steel Institute, steel consumption in Brazil could decrease by 1% y-o-y this year to 23.2 million tons.
