Borçelik became the first Turkish company to receive a TCFD report

Borcelik published the TCFD (Climate-Related Financial Statement Task Force) report in the iron and steel industry in Turkey, within the scope of its vision to create solutions for the climate crisis problem. Borçelik included the following information in its statement:

“We broke new ground within the scope of our sustainable works. We became the first company to receive a TCFD report in the iron and steel industry in Turkey. TCFD is an assessment framework on corporate governance, strategy, risk/opportunity and goals against the corporate climate crisis. With this report, we aim to provide reliable and transparent information about our work against the climate crisis.”

What is TCFD?

TCFD recommendations published by the Task Force on Climate-Related Disclosures (TCFD) are a framework for institutions to report on how they manage their climate change-related risks and opportunities.
