The press service of the Byelorussian Steel Works (BMZ) reports that the company plans to conduct trial development of five new designs of steel cords.
Igor Cherniavski, the plant's Deputy General Director for the production of metal goods, said that the plant has been operating stably, profitably and with positive earnings in the first five months of this year. Thus, the plant produced 228 thousand tonnes of steel in May, breaking the record of recent years.
The Deputy General Director emphasised that the situation in the production of metal products is gradually improving. Compared to the same period last year, production increased by 14 % and the supply of products to the Russian market increased.
"Companies from North Africa and the Middle East are also ready to buy our products. But for BMZ this has to be economically justified, given delivery problems. Pilot production of five completely new steel cord designs is planned," said Igor Chernyavsky.
