BlueScope Steel has announced a $270m ($270.41m) investment to expand its metal coating capacity at its Erskine Park project in New South Wales.
The new line will produce up to 240 kilo-tonnes per annum of the company's metal coated products. The total capital cost has been increased to A$415m due to inflationary pressures and further development in the project's scope. The project is expected to be fully commissioned and operational by the end of 2025. The investment is expected to better meet customers' growing demand for steel building and construction products.
