BIR Federation 2024: A new route plan for the recycling sector

Since 1948, the Bureau of International Recycling (BIR), which SteelRadar is a media partner, has been the international representative of the recycling industry.

At present, with active membership of more than 950 companies from 70 countries and direct membership of 37 national associations, BIR brings together more than 30,000 companies from all over the world.

BIR has four Commodity Divisions - iron and steel, non-ferrous metals, paper and textiles, stainless steel and special alloys, plastics, tires and rubber, plastics and specialty alloys, plastics, tires and rubber, E-scrap and four Commodity (Emtia) Committees. The Federation is also known for the events it organizes to share industry innovations and strengthen cooperation.

The events of BIR 2024, which sector representatives are eagerly awaiting, are as follows;

May 26-27, 2024: Copenhagen - Denmark

October 28-29, 2024: Singapore

Even though the details of the event have not yet been defined, it is expected to be an occasion where important developments in the sector will be shared and business contacts will be strengthened.

With the World Recycling Congresses held in Amsterdam on May 22-24, 2023 and in Abu Dhabi on October 23-24, 2023, BIR brought together industry representatives from all over the world, including SteelRadar.
