Automobile production increased in July

According to the statement made by the Automotive Manufacturers Association, in the January-July period of 2023, total production increased by 18 percent and automobile production increased by 27 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. In this period, total production was realized as 870 thousand 600 units and automobile production as 550 thousand 615 units.

In January-July period of 2023, total market increased by 62 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and realized as 697 thousand 726 units. In this period, the automobile market increased by 62 percent and realized as 516 thousand 288 units.

In the commercial vehicle group, production in the January-July period of 2023 increased by 4 percent, in the heavy commercial vehicle group by 28 percent, in the light commercial vehicle group by 2 percent compared to the same period last year. Compared to the January-July period of 2022, the commercial vehicle market increased by 62 percent, the heavy commercial vehicle market increased by 38 percent and the light commercial vehicle market increased by 68 percent.

In the January-July period of 2023, compared to the same period of the previous year, total automotive exports increased by 11 percent in terms of units and automobile exports increased by 26 percent. In this period, total exports amounted to 586 thousand 795 units and automobile exports to 375 thousand 670 units.

In January-July 2023 period compared to the same period of the previous year, total automotive exports increased by 17 percent in USD terms and by 17 percent in Euro terms. In this period, total automotive exports amounted to 20.5 billion dollars, while automobile exports increased by 24 percent to 6.2 billion dollars. In Euro terms, automobile exports increased by 24 percent to €5.7 billion.
