Port Hedland is one of the world's largest iron ore export centers and is used by three of the world's four largest iron ore miners, including BHP Group, Fortescue Metals Group and Roy Hill Holdings.
Data for September shows that Port Hedland's total iron ore exports reached 45.07 million tons, a decrease of 1.93% y-o-y and 5.74% m-o-m.
In January-September this year, total exports reached 413 million tons, down by 0.81% y-o-y. Shipments to China also fell by 0.82% to 354 million tons, accounting for 86% of total exports.
