According to the port data released today, shipments from Australia 's important Newcastle port were 0.46 million tons/day in the same month of last year and 0.42 million tons/day in August, while the total was 0.34 million tons/day in September.
Dry cargo analysis firm DBX wrote in a note: “Bad weather continues to cripple Australian coal port logistics. All port flows have dropped this month, except Hay Point, which mainly exports hard coking coal.
DBX forecasts planting loads at 0.31 million tons/day. The organization said it is not expected to see much improvement in downloads this month.
