According to data released by official sources; Australia ranked 1st again in 2022, producing 880 thousand tons of iron ore in 2022 as in 2021.

Brazil increased by 2.7% and China by 42% in 2022 compared to 2021
Compared to 2021, China increased its iron ore production from 266,000 tons to 380,000 tons in 2022 and Brazil increased from 399,300 tons to 410,000 tons.
Brazil's iron ore production in 2021 was so high that, despite China's large increase in 2022, Brazil did not lose the second place to China.
