ASTOR has signed a partnership agreement with the Chinese Sieyuan Electric Co. Ltd. for the transfer of high-voltage GIS technology. The two companies also signed a goodwill agreement for the production of energy storage devices.
Astor made a statement that the investment of 25 million dollars is planned to be completed in the second half of 2024 and to start production at full capacity in 2025. The investment is expected to contribute an average of 50 million dollars to the company's turnover on an annual basis.
Astor Enerji will also take over the know-how transfer of some strategic new products that are used in power transmission systems and require advanced technologies as part of the cooperation with Sieyuan that began in 2020.
Astor has carried out R&D studies and designs for the 170 kV High Voltage Breakers under the Astor brand, in cooperation with Sieyuan; It had carried out prototype production and successfully carried out prototype product type tests in international laboratories in June 2020. The tested systems were included in the transmission system of Turkish Electricity Transmission Inc. (TEIAS) under the brand of Astor, the first domestic manufacturer.
