ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) will begin construction of the steel plant to be established in Paradip in January 2024. This newly established facility will have an annual production capacity of 7 million tons. Additionally, AM/NS will be India's first greenfield facility.
Hemant Sharma, principal secretary of the Industrial Department of India, states that the state government has provided 1,485 acres of land to AM/NS India for the proposed project and the investment in this steel plant will amount to Rs 38,000 crore.
The foundation of the project will be laid in the period of December-January.
