Dilip Oommen, Chief Executive Officer of ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India), said that the demand for steel in India will increase thanks to the government's focus on infrastructure development.

The company currently has a production capacity of 9 million tons, this figure will first reach 15 million tons and then 22 million tons; He stated that this capacity will increase to 40 million tons by 2035. AM/NS India, currently a flat steel producer, is also considering producing long products.

In addition, the company plan to undertake a greenfield expansion in Odisha.
