According to Anglo American's production report for the third quarter ended 30 September 2023, iron ore production fell 4% y-o-y to 15.4 million tonnes. This was mainly due to planned plant maintenance at Minas-Rio in Brazil. In the first nine months, however, production rose by 6% y-o-y to 46.1 million tonnes.
In addition, nickel production in the third quarter decreased by 7% y-o-y to 9,300 tonnes. From January to September, production fell slightly by 2% y-o-y to 28,900 tonnes.
