In the statement of the Ministry, it was stated that the developments in the construction sector, which has an important weight in the economy and which directly and indirectly concerns many sectors, are closely followed by the ministry and also monitored in terms of foreign trade.
It was also reminded that these products were added to the list of goods subject to export registration on September 4, 2021, in order to monitor the exports of cement and clinker, which are used extensively in the construction industry, primarily in order to meet the domestic demand and to ensure that the necessary measures can be taken on time.
It has been stated that there have been intense notifications to the ministry that there has been a problem in the domestic supply of these products in the recent period, and that there has been an increase in the domestic sales prices of these products, especially in the last 1-2 months.
For these reasons, it was stated that necessary measures will be taken by the ministry without delay in order to prevent price increases of these products and to relieve domestic supply.
In the statement, it was also emphasized that if the positive effects envisaged by the ministry that these measures will create on the market are not at the desired level, other measures in addition to the measures taken will not be refrained from.
