The various sessions of the forum addressed issues such as preserving the country's technological sovereignty and strengthening interregional and intersectoral cooperation.
Minister Romanov announced that Amurstal LLC plans to sign new export contracts and expand the supply of metal products for the domestic market in the future. According to current forecasts, in 2023 the production of rolled ferrous metal is expected to reach about 120% of the 2022 level (about 850 thousand tons).
The company's main foreign markets have traditionally been Southeast Asian countries. The Minister reported that the volume of sales of steel billets for export in the first half of 2023 increased 1.7 times compared to the previous year (257 thousand tons). At the same time, the company is working on the production of high value-added products with a greater focus on the Russian domestic market, trying to gain resistance to the conditions of sanctions pressure.
Modernization work is underway at the plant to increase the production volume of long products and improve the quality of finished products. For these purposes, access to specialized sources of financing through the Regional Industrial Development Fund is being explored.
