In his written statement, Minister Dönmez stated that the claims that Turkish Petroleum and BOTAŞ will be sold are "baseless and untrue" and said, "There is absolutely no question of selling either Turkish Petroleum or BOTAŞ. The 540 billion cubic meters of exploration in the Black Sea made it possible for Turkish Petroleum to benefit from both technology and financing. It also revealed how it successfully carried out such large operations in terms of human resources."
Dönmez stated that BOTAŞ has been among the architects of projects such as TANAP and TurkStream in the last 3 years, and that the company has assumed a vital role for Turkey.
