Exports in October increased by 6% compared to the same period last year and reached 2.601 billion dollars. In this process, Izmir became the province with the highest exports in the region with exports of 14.231 billion dollars. Manisa ranked second with $4.573 billion, while Denizli ranked third with exports worth $3.517 billion.
In October, exports through the Aegean Exporters' Associations (EIB) increased by 4% compared to the same period of the previous year and totalled 1.482 billion dollars. EIB's 10-month exports were calculated as 25.772 billion dollars. In this period, EIB's exports increased by 1.6% to 18.340 billion dollars.
The highest exports in the industrial sector
In October, exports of the industrial sector increased by 7.6% to 770 million dollars, while exports of the agricultural sector increased by 1.6% to 629 million dollars. The mining sector exported 82.9 million dollars.
Aegean Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters' Association was the union with the highest exports among the Aegean Exporters' Associations with an export amount of 191,250 thousand dollars. Aegean Textile and Raw Materials Exporters' Association recorded the highest increase compared to other unions with exports of 58.7 million dollars in October.
Most exports were made to Germany
Looking at the countries with the highest exports from EİB, Germany maintained its place at the top in October with 146.7 million dollars of exports. The USA ranked second with 110.5 million dollars and Spain ranked third with exports of 76.4 million dollars.
