According to the official Iranian news agency IRNA, the 17th Joint Economic Cooperation Commission meeting between Iran and Turkmenistan took place in the capital city of Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, on November 17-18.
Following the meeting, the Cooperation Protocol of the 17th Joint Economic Cooperation Commission between the two countries was signed by Mehrdad Bezrpaş, Iran's Minister of Roads and Urban Development, and Rashid Meredov, Turkmenistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Iranian and Turkmenistani officials also signed a bilateral cooperation agreement for the construction of roads valued at $550 million and the construction of a power transmission line and equipment supply valued at $340 million.
Additionally, at Iran's proposal, it was agreed that the 18th Joint Economic Cooperation Commission Meeting between the two countries would take place in Iran in November of the following year.
