A 7.5 magnitude earthquake struck the city of Barranca in western Peru.
The US Geological Survey (USGS) announced that the epicenter of the 7.5-magnitude earthquake was 42 kilometers northwest of the coastal city of Barranca.
After the earthquake recorded at a depth of 112.5 kilometers, no tsunami warning was issued.
According to the first determinations, no loss of life or property was reported in the earthquake.
Peru, which is one of the countries with the highest seismic activity in the world, is located in the Pacific Earthquake Belt, also known as the "Ring of Fire".
