The findings of the anti-dumping investigation conducted by the U.S. Department of Commerce (USDOC) regarding the importation of line welded pipes from South Korea have been disclosed.
According to the USDOC, producers and exporters from South Korea deliberately priced these products below their value from December 2020 to November 2021.
NEXTEEL and SeAH Steel Corporation will face individual tariffs of 2.38% and 4.23% respectively, while HiSteel will be exempt from duties as it did not export any products to the U.S. during that period.
For all other South Korean manufacturers and exporters, the duty will be set at 3.27%. In the months of May and June 2023, the United States imposed or extended duties on a broad range of pipes imported from several countries.
The countries affected by these measures include Romania, Japan, Turkey, Thailand, India, Brazil, Mexico, and Taiwan.
