Turkey's scrap imports fell in September

Turkey's scrap imports in September totaled approximately 1.39 million tons, down 13.9 percent month on month and 13.3 percent year on year.

In the first nine months of this year, scrap imports decreased by 10.5% year on year to 16.88 million tons. The value of scrap imports was $8.2 billion, down 0.5% compared to the same period last year.

Among them, the EU was Turkey's main source of scrap imports, with 8.6 million tons, down 12.1 percent year on year.
