According to data released by Taiwan's Ministry of Finance, the country's iron and steel exports totaled $1.3 billion in October 2023, down 18.4% from the same month in 2022.
In turn, the value of Taiwanese imports of similar products in the month under review was at $1 billion, with an increase of 15.4% on an annual basis.
In the ten months to date, the value of Taiwan's iron and steel exports fell 26% to $14.53 billion, while the value of imports fell 18% to $9.98 billion, both year-on-year comparisons.
