Russia's pig iron exports decreased in February

In February, according to preliminary information, the volume of deliveries of Russian pig iron in primary forms shipped for export amounted to about 156 thousand tons. Compared to the previous month, the volume of deliveries decreased by 1.7 times, and y-o-y by 4.5 times. The average price at the border with the Russian Federation was $357 per ton, 3% higher than in January, but 26% lower than in February last year.

Overall, export volumes in January-February amounted to 0.43 million tons, 2 times lower than last year. At the same time, revenue decreased 2.8 times to $155 million.
