The Southern Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Center, part of USC United Shipbuilding Corporation (JSC United Shipbuilding Corporation), has started metal cutting works for the construction of the floating dock area at the ASPO production facility, while the lifting capacity of the dock is reported to be 25,000 tons.
The groundbreaking ceremony for this activity, labeled 'Project 24012', is programmed for December.
The project is being carried out under a contract signed by PJSC (public joint-stock company) Shipbuilding Corporation Severnaya Verf, while its development was carried out by the Technical Design Almaz Center Marine Design Bureau, part of USC.

The metal floating dock has been developed for the launching of offshore structures, various ships and marine vessels, launching and lifting them out of the sea for inspection, repair and painting of underwater parts.
'Project 24012', which has the following technical specifications: maximum length 189.6 m; length along the slipway deck 177.6 m; berth width 62.0 m; load capacity - 25,000 tons and crew capacity 21 people, is also expected to carry out transportation and logistics operations within the facility, if the tonnage of the blocks is suitable.
