From 12 to 16 June 2023, Düsseldorf will become the centre of the international foundry and metallurgical industries: the quadrennial trade fair for foundry technology, casting, metallurgy and heat treatment technology, which together with the current challenges fuelling digitalisation in the metal technology sector and the search for sustainable and forward-looking solutions, is in particular demand this year in energy-intensive sectors.
More than 2,000 exhibitors from more than 50 countries will capture global trends and showcase the full range of current technologies and products in twelve exhibition halls.
At NEWCAST, foundries from all over the world will show decision-makers and designers the full range of innovative casting procedures and products. The importance of NEWCAST as the international performance show of the foundry industry will be particularly reflected in the growing number of exhibitors. In its current form, NEWCAST 2023 will be larger than 2019. NEWCAST will thus be the ideal counterpart to the GIFA foundry trade fair.
NEWCAST will be a platform for all aspects of innovation in casting and will show the full range of innovative casting procedures and products. Not only for traditional vehicle construction, but also for casting for e-mobility as well as precision castings for the aerospace industry and for mechanical and plant engineering, from the filigree cast zinc component for medical technology through the lightweight e-engine housing to the rotor hub made of cast iron with high load-bearing capacity and weighing tonnes of cast components, innovative casting procedures and metallic casting materials for all industrial growth markets will be featured.
With GIFA, NEWCAST and THERMPROCESS, Messe Düsseldorf will not only offer the most comprehensive showcase of the entire foundry sector anywhere in the world, but also forums for meetings and discussions on the burning questions of the time. "This year, decarbonisation and transformation pathways towards a circular economy will be high on the agenda, given the provisions for climate neutrality," said Seifert. "GIFA, and NEWCAST in particular, will graphically demonstrate that foundry companies are not only unaffected by the decarbonisation challenges, but that through their innovations they are making absolutely decisive contributions to transforming the industry into a climate-neutral economic position."
