Hydnum Steel, Spain's first green steel producer, and Euroports, one of Europe's leading logistics companies, have joined forces to optimize the steel supply chain. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the two companies aims to develop integrated and sustainable logistics solutions across Europe.
Under the agreement, an efficient logistics network will be designed for the transportation, storage, and distribution of steel coils to be produced at Hydnum Steel's factory in Puertollano. Additionally, the supply of raw materials such as iron scrap, green metals, and iron ore, which are necessary for steel production, will be one of the focal points of this collaboration.
Euroports' experience in port infrastructure management and logistics services will provide the reliable logistics support that Hydnum Steel needs for raw material imports and green steel exports. This strategic partnership aims to contribute to the widespread adoption of sustainable practices in the European steel industry.
Industry experts note that this collaboration could initiate a new era in green steel production and distribution and set an example for other companies.
