Steady Prices Amidst Market Dynamics
Leading rebar manufacturers such as Ezz Steel, Suez Steel, Egyptian Steel, and Beshay maintained their prices at EGP 38,200 per metric ton (MT) and $753 per MT, indicating no changes during the period. Companies like El Marakby and Al Garhy also sustained their prices at EGP 36,000 per MT and $710 per MT, respectively.
Significant Price Decreases
Noteworthy reductions in rebar prices were observed in certain manufacturers. Al Komy experienced the most significant decrease, with prices dropping by EGP 15,000 per MT and $22 per MT, bringing their new prices to EGP 32,300 per MT and $637 per MT. Misr Steel also reduced their prices by EGP 10,000 per MT and $10 per MT, now standing at EGP 32,000 per MT and $631 per MT.
Slight Price Increases
Conversely, some manufacturers raised their prices. Al Gyoshi Steel increased prices by EGP 3,000 per MT and $6 per MT, with new prices at EGP 32,700 per MT and $645 per MT. Midi Steel and Al Arabeya Steel also recorded price hikes of EGP 7,000 per MT and $14 per MT, respectively.
